A Real Madrid Player Tested Positive for Coronavirus/COVID-19 others quarantined, All La Liga Matches suspended

The Spanish League La liga has been susupended.

According reports from Spain the first and second division League has been suspended  for at least 2 week because of Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak.


The reports also had it that Spanish top team players, The Real Madrid have been placed in quarantine.


This is coming after one of the Basketball players of Real Madrid has been tested positive for the Deadly virus and therefore,  all Activities in the Real Madrid training camp have been suspended.


Statement issued by La liga read

“Given the circumstances known this morning, referring to the quarantine established at Real Madrid and the potential positives from players from other clubs.

“La Liga consider that the circumstances are already in place to continue with the next phase of the protocol of action against COVID- 19.

“Consequently, in accordance with the measures established in Royal Decree 664/1997 of May 12, [La Liga] agree to suspend at least the next two games.”

Initially matches were a announced to be played behind the scene but with a record cace of infection all matches were suspended.
