COVID-19: CJN SHUT DOWN COURTS

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN,  Justice Tanko Muhammad, has issued a directive to shutdown all courts in the nation from Tuesday 24 march, 2020.
In a statement written on the official website he said. This measure became necessary, in view of the reality of the COVID-19 in the country.
He further noted that, as a precautionary step, all Heads of Courts, should put on hold all Court sittings for an initial period of two weeks at the first instance, except in matters that are urgent, essential or time bound according to the extant laws.
