The Inspector General of Police of Nigeria has warned Chairman of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress(APC) Adams Oshiomhole not to go near the party’s Secretariat.
This is coming after a Federal High Court in Abuja gave order that suspended Oshiomhole as the Chairman of APC.
Oshiomhole has gotten another order from Federal High Court in Kano that reinstated him as the party Chiarman. This resulted in dividing the APC National Working Committee.
The IGP had meeting with both parties of the APC’s NWC that are pro and anti Oshiomhole. Its in the meeting that he gave the warning to Oshiomhole not to go near the Party Secretariat, Newtelegraph reports.
One of the members of the APC’s NWC that doesn’t want his identity revealed told the newspaper that Oshiomhole’s fate has “been sealed as he was asked by the IGP not to appear at the party secretariat in official capacity”.
The Party has already asked the acting natonal secretary, Hon. Victor Giadom to oversee the affairs of the party until it announces acting National Chairman. The Source further said “We have just finished the meeting now and the IGP asked Oshiomhole not to come near the party again. Giadom would be overseeing the party pending when the leaders will announce an acting chairman. And it won’t be long that the party would announce an Acting National Chairman.”
Meanwhile some personal staffs of Oshiomhole were barred from entering the party Secretariat and security has been beefed up at the Secretariat.
