The Kano state government has locked the state, no movement outside or inside the state. This is effective from Friday, 27 March 2020.
Its taken as a measure to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.
This was made known via series of tweets by the aide to Kano Governor on Media and communications, Salihu Tanko Yakasai.
He also said that all hospitality business in the state should close in order to avoid large gathering.
H.E @GovUmarGanduje has ordered for the closure of all routes leading into Kano including Mallam Aminu Kano Airport starting from Friday by midnight. No one will be allowed into Kano or to go out of the State from this Friday 27th of March by midnight. Please Share. pic.twitter.com/55mnCXZIpl
