The Former Super Eagles captain and ex-Chelsea Superstar, John Mikel Obi has officiall resigned from playing for his Turkish football Club, Trabzonspor.
Mikel in a post on his social Media handle thanks the officials, teammates and fans for their support and admitted that it was the hardest decision to make but its necessary in order to be with his family and give them protection.
Earlier, Mikel Cried out over the non suspension of the Turkish League that is being played behind the scene because of Coronavirus/COVID-19.
A statement by the Club confirmed Mikel’s Retirement and said he had already given up his salary in order to retire on a mutual consent.
