One person feared dead as building collapsed in Lagos

A building said to be owned by keystone bank has collapsed during renovation, it has been reported that one of the labourers identified as Ezekiel Ajibola in charge of renovating the building is feared dead.


It was reported that the concrete canopy attached above the door level On the ground floor level due to inadequate reinforcement.
This unfortunate event happened while the workers were carrying out the renovation exercise as one of the labourers was polishing the tiled floor while another was at the top rendering support but unfortunately the Canopy collapsed on the old artisian on the ground floor and he died instantly.Confirming the development, the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu said the recovery operation was ongoing as at the time of this report.
