Governor El- Rufai has issued a three days notice to shop owners at kasuwar barci Tudun Wada, kaduna South. The notice was posted on shops Late friday , meaning traders are to vacate by Monday.
Haruna Dabai, the chairman of the market traders association told Daily trust that there is tention in the market. In his words he said ” we just came to the market this morning only to see the notice pasted around the market, giving us only three days to vacate the market which means by 12 o’clock on sunday the notice will expire.
We have already spoken to our lawyers but as u can see the whole thing happened during the weekend. We are only telling our memebers to be calm as we are trying to see how to resolve the whole thing peacefully.
A copy of the notice seen by Daily Trust indicates that it was signed by director general kaduna state urban planning and development authority (KASUPDA) Ismail Umar Dikko dated 6th march. The direct general said the move was a necessary step in view of the urban renewal project by the kaduna state government (upgrading of kasuwar barci market).
