Nigerians have criticized the new infectious disease bill in process by house of representatives to give new stretch to the federal government towards the battling of the COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging the world.

Sponsored by Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila when the House convened last Tuesday, April 28, 2020, the bill would create a new legal framework to replace the National Quarantine Act of 2004.

As a little insight into the the new bill if it becomes law show that, the minister of health will have the power to transform any building to quarantine center, the police will be able to arrested any person suffering from infectious diseases without warrant, plus with court order, government can dismantle any building where an infectious disease has occurred.
