COVID-19: Vitamin D may be key component to battling COVID-19 virus

New study from researchers at trinity college Dublin reveals vitamin D deficiency may be linked to higher death rates from COVID-19, and that boosting the body with this vitamin may be a vital factor towards battling the COVID-19 virus.
Published in the Irish Medical Journal, the report analysed vitamin D levels of older people in countries heavily affected by the coronavirus.
Which showed that countries like spain, Italy which had high death rates also have high rates of vitamin D deficiency.
Countries such as Norway, Finland and Sweden, although typically less sun-filled, actually showed lower rates of vitamin D deficiency as well as lower mortality rates from COVID-19.
