Federal Government on Reopening of Churches, Mosques and other Organizations

The Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu shared latest update on behalf of the federal government asking churches, mosques and organizations in Nigeria to submit guidelines for reopening. Ihekweazu stated this in Abuja at the press conference of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Thursday. The NCDC boss disclosed that the center received a draft of guidelines on Wednesday by the Public Transport Owners of Nigeria Association to reopen interstate transportation while curbing the spread of the coronavirus. He added that as the government prepares to ease more phases of lockdown in coming weeks, organizations should come up with similar guidelines to expedite the process of safely reopening the economy. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has gotten a new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Godswill Obioma. Professor Obioma’s appointment has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari. In a letter dated 15th May 2020 with Reference No: FME/PS/396/C1/1/134 and signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, the letter stated that the appointment which is for an initial tenure of five years takes effect from 14th May 2020. I have searched for questions to raise in other to challenge this phase of online examinations in Nigeria with the focal point of the first University to summon courage to address this staying at home by our students in other to enable them continue with their school activities, I couldn't find any. I thought of many options that could inhibit the examination process like lack of laptops or phones or network, then my brain provided me with an answer prompt that all students who attends a school like Al-Hikmah should be able to afford any of the listed gadgets, so that would never be a problem at all.
