The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire confirmed the cases during a press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja, the nation’s capital. He explained that three of the victims came from the United States of America including a mother and child while two others also from the US, an American who came via the nation’s land border, channels news report.

The Federal government of Nigeria has shutdown the NYSC Orientation camps nationwide because of Coronavirus/COVID-19 scare.   The 2020 Bach A Graduates entered NYSC Orientation camps nationwide on the 10 of March. And it was expected to last for 21 days   But Corps members were notified to get ready to leave the Camps and were handed letters to their places of primary assignment in the early hours of Wednesday.   A Corps member serving in Delta state confirmed to pressmanng that they were told to leave the Orientation camps.   This is coming hours after the federal government has placed ban on foreign trip and Large gathering is discouraged across the Country.

Yoruba group Protests against formation of Amotekun in Southwest

The protesting youths under the yoruba appraisal forum in Ado Ekiti state, launched a prostest yesterday. Demanding that the formation of western Nigerian security network Amotekun should be scrapped. So as for future calamity arising from the formation of that security network should be avoided. The protesting group made observattion that there is a hidden agenda behind the creation of this group. Which is aimed at destabilizing the south west and the entire country in 2023. Some of the placards they displayed read: ‘Amotekun Will Turn Our Youths to Militia Group’, ‘Amotekun Motive, Shine Your Eyes’, ‘Amotekun Can Bring Proliferation of Arms’, among others. The group's coordinator Mr. Adeshina Animasaun insisted that, the original agenda behind the creation of this Amotekun was genuine
