Cronavirus-COVID-19: FG shuts NYSC Orientation camps

The Federal government of Nigeria has shutdown the NYSC Orientation camps nationwide because of Coronavirus/COVID-19 scare.   The 2020 Bach A Graduates entered NYSC Orientation camps nationwide on the 10 of March. And it was expected to last for 21 days   But Corps members were notified to get ready to leave the Camps and were handed letters to their places of primary assignment in the early hours of Wednesday.   A Corps member serving in Delta state confirmed to pressmanng that they were told to leave the Orientation camps.   This is coming hours after the federal government has placed ban on foreign trip and Large gathering is discouraged across the Country.

14 corps members to repeat service and 4 died in Bauchi state

Four Members of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) of the 2019 Batch A set, whom were posted to Bauchi state died during their tenure of service. While 14 others are to repeat as a result of absconding duty.   Namadi Abubakar the Bauchi state coordinator who dislosed this information on their passing out parade said the corps Members who lost their lives where as a result of various diseases except for one who lost his life in a motor accident.   He further revealed that 7 out of the repeated had their service extended by four months while the others are to repeat the service all over again.   This action taken on the erring memebers was to instill discipline in the exiting and yet to come corp memebers so as to restrain them from committing the same of...
